Finally, Woo-yeon also learned about Yun-ju’s misfortune and embraced the pain of unrequited love. Likewise, Yoo-chan indulges in his dilemma by trying his luck with CEO Moon for an acting gig.
Unluckily for Shin, Hyobin won’t stop in her obsession as she made a move about his relationship with Ji-yeon.

Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 9 Key Moments
“I like you for who you are. Give me 10 reasons why you don’t like me.”
After their glamping activity, Tae-in takes the opportunity to confirm his relationship status with Yun-ju. Running out of excuses for his persistent rebuttals, she tells him that he’s not her style. It puts him in deep contemplation how a perfect guy like him is not her style.
Seeking the help of LUNA members from acting nice and improving fashion style, a hilarious imagination erupts from Tae-in. Thankfully, Shin makes a sound suggestion of being considerate and empathizing.
However, Yun-ju continues to deny her which makes him insist to know which part of his is not likable enough. He demands she write 10 things she does not like about him since he can feel that the feelings are mutual. After seeing her list, he concedes and caves into his room.
Joining Yoochan for some homemade tteokbokki, Yun-ju learns how he was not able to indulge in that food since he was a child actor when he was young. She urges him to continue acting which made him happy.
But when he meets CEO Moon to check if he can do an individual acting project while waiting for the new album, the CEO politely declines. Assuring him that he can do it at a later time when a good project comes along. Later, he visits CEO Jang to turn down the offer and tells him not to contact his mother anymore as well.
“Tae-in does not accept excuses. That’s the problem.”
After receiving a call from Ba-run, Yun-ju rushes to meet her without knowing that Woo-yeon spotted them. The two friends go to a nearby park for a chat about Tae-in’s love confession and how she declines it even if she really feels the same because of how she has been hiding her identity.
She confesses how when she wrote the things she hates about him, those things are also what made her fall for him. Ba-run makes sound advice to reveal her situation to Tae-in and who knows maybe if he really likes her, he would understand her reason.
Later, Woo-yeon goes to Ba-run’s cafe and finally learns about Yun-ju’s unfortunate story. Ba-run pleads with him to let Yun-ju reveal her situation to Tae-in on her own and slips that her friend likes his bandmate. He agrees to keep Yun-ju’s secret but also made her promise not to tell her friend that he knows it.
“Do you think having your feelings reciprocated is an easy thing?”
Feeling dejected that the girl he likes is into someone else, Woo-yeon goes to his favorite book store and chats with the owner. He voices out his worries of knowing Yun-ju’s secret can complicate matters with his friend. Book store ajussi appeases his thoughts when he felt going petty because of his own feelings.
At the dorm, Tae-in tells Yun-ju to stop guarding his door as it makes him uncomfortable. Woo-yeon who sees Yun-ju alone checks on her knowing her current predicament. He assures her that whatever is troubling her won’t make her a bad person.
Going to their radio program schedule, Shin and Yoochan keep their secrets from the band members. However, Yoochan sniffs on Shin’s connection to Ji-yeon and gives a pep talk of how their relationship won’t eventually thrive.
“You said that at that time when we were at the seashore. That even though the sun rises and sets every day, we pay more attention to it when we’re by the sea.”
Tae-in drags Yun-ju to a restaurant by the sea and surprises her with gifts celebrating her birthday. Aside from a birthday cake, he also orders a customized necklace with USB pendant bearing the song he recently composed inspired by his feelings for her.
Coaxing her to blow the candles on her cake, she makes a silent wish. In that wish, she hopes that Tae-in stays by her side even when he learns about the lies she made. Unable to hold his curiosity, he asks about what she wished, but she responds that a wish can’t be revealed for it to come true.
Conflicted, Yun-ju debates on opening up her concern. At that same moment, Shin and Ji-yeon’s dating scandal has erupted like a wildfire.
Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 9 Musings
How we wish Yun-ju can summon her strength to confess her problem in one go and use her birthday immunity. But from the looks of it, her confession won’t proceed because they will be summoned back for damage control.
Since Let Me Be Your Knight is staged in the backdrop of Korean entertainment industry, pertinent nudges involving celebrities are being utilized in the story. So far, we’ve seen the issue of past misdeeds that can haunt a celebrity in Ga-on’s story.
Shin and Ji-yeon go to the proverbial scandalous affair that would incite a negative impact on K-Pop group of huge following. How the noona-romance between them will be concluded in the next episode is expected.
Sympathizing to Yoochan’s character is easy given how he represents the usual weakest link in an idol group. His story of how he does not have the power to decide on the path he wants to take in his career makes him worthy of an unlimited group hug.
This episode we had foreseen already. Whether Tae-in’s love is as big as his understanding, we’ve yet to see.
Can Yun-ju finally reveal the reason why she can’t return Tae-in’s affection? Will Yoochan claim decisions for himself that he deserve? Can LUNA succeed in protecting Shin and Ji-yeon along with their band?
