“I think I was scared to say it. But I think I can tell you clearly today. Do you want to be my girlfriend?”

With a recent confidence boost from Ja-rim, our love struck boy practices even more with cheesy love confessions. His friends participate by helping and teasing him at the same time.

Kyung-woo points out how he does not need practice if the girl he likes feels the same. Defending his lady-crush, Ju-young mumbles his theory of Ja-rim’s cold-outside-warm-inside personality. He connects it to how her being apathetic to him means he has her attention in reality.

Just then, Hae-ri forces Ju-young to come with her, surprising his friends at the sight of a girl who just dragged their friend nonchalantly.
Meanwhile, the girls have seen through Ju-young’s love struck self and talk about how he must have been planning special for Ja-rim since Rose Day approaching.

While walking they spot Ju-young with Hae-ri sticking to him like a glue. Upon seeing the girls, Ju-young runs to their side to check on Ja-rim. The latter gives a meaningful stare to Hae-ri.

“Who cares if he’s going out with another girl? What does it matter to you?”

Circling on Kyung-woo, the girls inquired about the girl they saw with Ju-young while Ja-rim plays on her tablet. Kyung-woo explained that Hae-ri has been acting chummy with him, but he does not know the deal between them.

The girls question why Ju-young lets Hae-ri act close to him, but Kyung-woo responds how she has done nothing wrong and she’s the one approaching Ju-young.

Looking at the three girls so worked up about the girl hovering his friend, Kyung-woo asks Ja-rim if she is bothered. Ja-rim replies no, so he asks the girls to stop their inquisition.

“What are you going to do on Saturday?

Finding time for a quick chat with Ja-rim, Ju-young asked about her weekend plan. She knows where his line of questioning would go, so she responds she will be staying at home being busy.

Ju-young answers his buzzing phone and sees the call coming from Hae-ri. Peeking on his call, Ja-rim makes a remark about it. Not wanting to create a misunderstanding, Ju-young explains that he has no connection to her at all.

Thinking a “Hae-ri misunderstanding” results to her rejecting his date request, Ja-rim dismisses it. On cue, Hae-ri arrives declaring she has a free Saturday schedule. Ju-young responds he is busy as Ja-rim announces going her way and leaves them to talk.

“I’m telling you to reject Ju-young in a clear and definite manner.”

But, Ju-young rushes to follow her leaving Hae-ri sulking. Continuing his can-we-meet-this-Saturday plead, Ju-young still can’t get Ja-rim to agree. She plays with her response with subtle hint of jealousy.

After school, Hae-ri asks Ja-rim for a quick chat and they proceed to a nearby cafe. Spouting rude words, Hae-ri mutters how she does not like Ja-rim’s glaring eyes. She even called Ja-rim a real wench for leading Ju-young on.

Full of herself, Hae-ri apologized after mumbling nonsense and tells her that for them not to meet again, she should reject Ju-young in a clear and direct manner. The boy between them just know the right timing to check on Ja-rim. So, Ja-rim replies the exact request of Hae-ri and shows her phone to her.

However, ever the optimistic Ju-young replies – he rejects her rejection – and to let him like her. He also cleared not having any connection to Hae-ri. That totally wiped the smug look on Hae-ri’s face. Definitely winning that round, Ja-rim gets up to leave while Hae-ri annoyingly spurts her dissatisfaction.

“What if Ja-rim does not want to date you? What will you do?”

At night, Ju-young and friends prove their deep friendship by working on the paper bouquet project for Ja-rim. They debate on whether making 99 or 100 paper roses.

Asking Kyung-woo for his opinion, he sticks with his previous advice of how the confession would work only if Ja-rim feels the same way.
He asks if he really does not want to date anyone other than Ja-rim and suggests Hae-ri.

Ju-young throws a paper on him telling him that Hae-ri is not her type. Sensing his friend is not confident of his love pursuit, Kyung-woo reasoned how he is just worried about him. He cites the possibility of Ja-rim really rejecting him.

Ju-young who understands his friend’s apprehension still stubbornly insists, saying how he just wants to show Ja-rim what he really feels.

“Your home won’t be catch on fire. The only thing that’s on fire is my feelings for you.”

Saturday came and Ja-rim meets Min-ji and Ah-ram at a cafe. She receives a message from Ju-young about a fire in the apartment building she lives. Ja-rim calls him to confirm and Ju-young put on his acting cap to lure her back to the apartment.

The girls rush to Ja-rim’s apartment and finds Ju-young all prep up for his “rose day” event. His supportive friends help him design the flower path.

Turns out that it was just a small pot burst incident. Seeing no smoke nor fire, Ja-rim is called by Ju-young who stands on a flower path holding the flower bouquet he made with his friends last night.

Ju-young beams like a prince charming while mumbling how her apartment won’t catch on fire because the only thing that’s blazing is his feelings for her. Inevitably, the cheesy line made his friends and Ja-rim’s friends cringe.

“It’s Rose Day today. Please accept this. It’s 100 roses.”

Pushing his event, Ju-young pretends looking for one missing paper rose, but Ah-rim meddles and shouts not to say that the 100th rose is Ja-rim. Knocking out Ju-young’s plan, he quickly improvised and claimed the last rose ro be him.

The viewers of his love confession event totally gave up with a deep sigh. Ja-rim approaches Ju-young and chides him about lying to her. She warns him not to play jokes on her.

Defending himself, he replies that his confession is not a joke. He again asks for them to date and how he will try his best. Demanding for an answer, Ja-rim replies that she will message him of her answer.

When he pushes to know it right there and then, Ja-rim glares that with her current mood, she does not want to date him.

Ju-young gets the message and encouraged her to think about it carefully.

“Don’t be too surprised. What Ja-rim said… will be revealed next week.”

Pacing back and forth, Ju-young is on a skittish moment that every message from Kakao Talk sends him in the brink of nervous breakdown.

With his friends making fun of him, it is not helping him a bit. While wrestling Byung-hoon, who advertently sends a message to annoy him, another Kakao Talk message buzzed and Kyung-woo meddles as well.

Surprised at the message from Ja-rim, Ju-young pleads for him to spill it, but Kyung-woo makes Ju-young and us viewers, want to suffer a little more to wait for its big reveal next week.

Love Revolution Episode 6 Musings

Were jealousy or Ju-young’s effort or both – the reasons why Ja-rim finally gave a “good news” to Ju-young? Episode 7 preview seems looking favorable for Ju-young’s on-going Ja-rim pursuit and I can’t wait for the lengthened version of the sneak peek unveiled.

Although I was hoping for Hae-ri to induce more “triggered moments” for Ja-rim, I guess we’ll have to wait and see how persistent she will be in coming between them.

Going to a new phase of Ju-young-Ja-rim young love story, I look forward to what level of heart-fluttering moments Ju-young will be whipping. I am also curious if Ja-rim’s cold exterior will warm up a bit.

I am also curious if Ja-rim will evolve to a character that can match the aegyo-personified packaging of Ju-young. The male lead definitely deserves some Ja-rim prepared swoon-worthy moment for all the shower of affection Ju-young gave her.

Another romance line is also set in the horizon with Kyung-woo and Min-ji. And yay! I am also rooting for these two.
