My Liberation Notes Episode 9 Musings
From a man who claims to be scary, Mr. Gu’s reaction to Mi-jeong’s story about dead animals in their neighborhood contrasts that image of him.
Chang-hee blowing off to A-reum was satisfying to see since her attitude as a coworker goes overboard. Although he may have his own lackings, he is getting close to realizing how to liberate himself. With his found motivation through Mr. Gu, he is likely to meet a positive outcome.
Same with him, Gi-jeong’s reflection makes it likely for her to meet a positive outcome in her endeavors. From a character that wallows in rejection, she now vibes well with her male coworker.
Meeting the people from his past, Mr. Gu’s full name is finally revealed. Not only his name, but also his story and emotions are shown in this episode.
His facial reactions while sharing his story show an aspect that he is hurt to the point it is disabling. Although he seems nonchalant while telling his story, his current actions could support the assumption that he is a sincere person.
