One The Woman Episode 14 Key Moments (Spoiler Alert!)
“I’ll show you what one prosecutor can do when they set their minds on it.”
Mutually waging war against each other, Yeon-ju and Sung-hye begin their schemes.
Seung-wook who also learned from Ms. Kim that Sung-hye is the real culprit was not surprised with Yeon-ju’s same discovery.
Before Yeon-ju launches her attack, Prosecutor Ryu has already pitched his implicating Chairman Han. When they meet for questioning, the chief prosecutor has confirmed allegiance to the new chief executive of Hanju Group.
Not wasting time assuming the position she so badly wants, Sung-hye gets her father’s multiple phones from his secretary. Meanwhile, Seung-wook also sees the video footage of his father’s dead body being dragged by Sung-hye’s secretary.
Preparing for the possible attacks she can get, Sung-hye gives her loyal secretary a heads-up to continue being faithful by owning to her mistake of inadvertently killing her uncle.
“You and that crazy prosecutor are totally doomed.”
Confronting Sung-hye to the extent of her wickedness, Seung-wook vows to slap her with evidence. But Sung-hye warns him that with her plans smoothly moving, he is bound to be in trouble with Yeon-ju.
Together with Lawyer Noh, Yeon-ju whines about her predicament of being saddled with impersonation just when she was about to launch an attack. The old lawyer is not helping at all by providing scenarios that would cause more problems for her.
Adding to their problem, the witness to Sung-hye’s plan of murdering Mina was also killed and was even found at Seung-wook’s vacation home.
To cut every angle they can attack, Sung-hye also sent Secretary Jung to confess to Hanju Fashion’s arson case and Seung-wook’s father’s accidental death.
“Do you also carry a secret behind your birth?”
Both feeling dejected, the somber mood of Yeon-ju and Seung-wook extends to the problematic hounding of media people. Meanwhile, Prosecutor Ryu has caught up on who has his bargaining chip.
Unable to bounce back from the slump, a ray of USB light presents itself to Seung-wook and Yeon-ju. It bears the illegal dealings of Sung-hye and her secretary as well as the missing ledger report of Hanju Fashion 14 years ago.
Forcing her children to rack their brains in finding Mina, Seung-wook and Yeon-ju are also doing the same surmising. Through her prosecutor instinct, Yeon-ju figures out Mina is hovering near Sung-hye. On the brink of being caught by Sung-hye’s hired gangsters, Mina escapes danger with the help of Yeon-ju.
One The Woman Episode 14 Musings
Jin Seo Yeon’s branding of Sung-hye in One The Woman has reached its culmination. Her choice to be clear-cut evil warrants no redeeming moment, but the right amount of justice to be served for her next week.
After showing no amount of compassion to Secretary Jung who faithfully served her, we can send her off to the worst possible misfortune she can get. To be honest, her display of atrocities has exceeded the normal level allowable for villains in a 16-episode series. That is given her motivations that sprang from her daddy issues.
As much as I want to celebrate Mina’s reemergence, we know the subtle hint of the new secretary was not just seen through by Sung-hye. The faint focus on the secretary when she was first introduced hinted at her possible connection to Mina. Admittedly though, I thought she’s just someone Mina planted to be by Sung-hye’s side.
There’s a load of legal proceedings to be done once the presentation of pieces of evidence proceeds next week. And yes, more so in the imaginary world setting of One The Woman. I’m mostly worried about how the closure will be executed in two hours, and if it will be convincing enough to match the engrossing run of the series.
Don’t miss the finale episodes of One The Woman next week!
