Sung-hye who traces the origin fast to Sung-woon’s ex-GF meets with her and takes the grumbling ex-GF of her brother to her side. Next, Sung-hye meets Mi-na’s aunt to propose a DNA test.

Despite Yu-jun’s advice for her to return formally as a prosecutor, Yeon-ju refuses. She is not aware that Chief Prosecutor Ryu has been suspecting her alibis.

Coming clean about her new-found romance, she also tells Yu-jun that she likes Seung-wook. Yu-jun accepts the truth with a smile, but finds it hard to leave without running down all the things his favorite noona forgets about her place. He only stops when Yeon-ju asks him to stop the ramblings.

Later, Yeon-ju and Seung-wook visit Yeon-ju’s uncles to give them a task to snoop on Lee Bong-sik’s dealings as a gambler.

“No matter what you do. No matter who you are. I’m never going to divorce you.”

Yeon-ju speaks with Chairman Han about sharing resources in the prosecutor’s office since it will benefit the merger. Just in time when Sung-hye was about to get her comb for the needed hair for the DNA test, Yeon-ju arrives.

Sung-woon also backs her up and shows an earnest desire to help him understand her worth to his position in the company. He also declares knowing that Yeon-ju is not the real Mina. Asserting he doesn’t care about the real Mina, he tells her to keep pretending.

But Yeon-ju puts him back in place by demanding his protection or he will lose his wife’s inheritance and his position.

Meanwhile, Jang Suk-ho, the man Sung-hye used to run over Mina woke up but blamed his epileptic attack for his action. Seung-wook and Yeon-ju both deduce he’s lying about the accident.

Aside from her uncles, Yu-jun has also been making a move to get information in various gambling dens which makes him lethargic during business hours. He reports about Bong-sik’s flash drive that was pawned at a nearby pawnshop from the gambling den.

Seeing a golden flash drive held by one of the members of Samgeori Gang, Yeon-ju wears a chicken head to hide her face and tussles with the gang member. But she fails to get the flash drive.

Through Sung-hye’s order to silence Suk-ho, Secretary Kim poses as a doctor to inject a lethal drug, fortunately, Seung-wook arrives in time.

“Do you know what bothers me the most? I never even thought about asking my dad if he really started the fire.”

Grateful for his second lease of life, Suk-ho finally confessed to who put him on the evil deed. He also reveals providing a false confession to the real culprit of Hanju Fashion arson case. Aside from that he also shared that the culprit also admitted the crime he did not commit.

The revelation made Yeon-ju feel bad after realizing she has also assumed her father did it without asking him first. Seung-wook urges her to ask her father, but recalling their last conversation where she was utterly cold, she doesn’t know how to start.

Still, Seung-wook encourages her that it would be okay and decides for both of them to meet him.

At Han Mansion, Sung-hye checks on her younger brother and drops a bomb about his looming arrest for drug use and trashy videos from his affairs. It turns out that she also planted a bug in Yeon-ju’s room. Thus, she knows his connivance with Yeon-ju and demands him to spill everything that he knows.

At that same moment, Yeon-ju and Seung-wook also learn from Yeon-ju’s father that he received money to confess to the fire that he did not commit. That same money helped Yeon-ju with her expenses and schooling.
