One The Woman Episode 6 Key Moments
“Business does not work like that. Just because you’ve shown kindness to someone doesn’t mean you’ll be repaid.”
Seung-wook pays a visit to his father’s resting place and recounts the conversation he had with Chairman Han. His uncle told his younger self that his father, who was suspected of accounting fraud, burn the evidence.
Back then, young Seung-wook reasons for his father’s innocence, but his scheming uncle has all planned out how he can usurp the family wealth.
Later, Lawyer No and Yeon-ju give him a surprise birthday party. Seung-wook shares how he told his father about an anomaly in the accounting ledger so his old man went to the factory to check it. So, he wonders what could have happened if he didn’t say anything about those ledgers. Yeonju cheers him up by reminding him not to blame himself.
They are not aware that Sung-hye and her assistant have already caught up on Mi-na’s impostor. Sung-hye also sees Lee Bong-sik in the CCTV recording of the auction.
“Let’s find out who’s more fake. You activated the fingerprint lock so no one could get into it. Unlock it right now.”
The madam of Han family called the members for a meeting to address the rumor about taboo romance pointing to Yeon-ju and Seung-wook. Yeon-ju arrives and was ordered by Madam Han to focus on conceiving a child but she dismissed the idea.
Sung-hye who enters the scene chides her for her practice of shaming the family on social media. She also demands Yeon-ju to unlock Mi-na’s tablet which she has been trying to unlock to no avail.
It turns out that Yeon-ju was helped inadvertently by Seung-wook about Mi-na’s tablet whose passcode is his birthday. Discovering the list of wicked deeds by Han family, Yeon-ju thinks she has the upper hand, but Seung-wook puts her back to the reality that it’s the other way around.
That Mi-na’s knowledge could be the reason why she was intentionally hit by the car. They agree to change the fingerprint lock of the tablet as well as remove the information stored by Mi-na. Unknown to them a couple of prosecutors misread their conversation thinking Yeon-ju will be causing problems at the office.
“Everyone around me is doubting my identity so my true identity might be revealed soon.”
Ranting about why Sung-hye asked her to open the tablet, Yeon-ju got a yawn from Lawyer No which made her upset because she thinks she’s in a serious predicament. Lawyer No defends himself by stating he woke up early just to drive her.
He also loops her in his latest order to go back to Hanju Group which he thinks to be Chairman Han’s ploy of separating them. But Yeon-ju teases him that his double-agent role might actually be the reason why.
Meanwhile, Prosecutor An calls Yeon-ju to schedule the questioning about Hanju Group’s illegal art dealings. Without anyone to help her, she draws the hospitalization card. In the Prosecutor grapevine, Yeon-ju’s recent conversation was already posted alerting Prosecutor Ryu who remembered about his lost tablet that was retrieved by Yeon-ju. He thinks that his junior is doing something behind his back.
“I’m not sure what Mi-na was like anymore. Sometimes I think you feel even more like Mi-na than herself.”
Seung-wook finds himself staring at Yeon-ju blabbing the food she wants to eat in her sleep. After munching, they chat a little. Yeon-ju curiously asks what her doppelganger is like. But in his memory, Seung-wook feels like those were shared by Yeon-ju given their common habit.
After assuring her that he’s doing all he can to track Mi-na, she asks if his hate in hospitals can’t allow him to bring food for her. Responding to hospitals bringing back bad memories from his past, Yeon-ju relents and talks about her going to the ER to just get instant coffee. She adds how the warmest place in the hospital is ER and it also has instant coffee.
As if feeling a dejavu, Seung-wook recollects the time he thought he shared with Mi-na who said the very same thing when they were young.
One The Woman Episode 6 Musings
Could it be that Yeon-ju is Seung-wook’s real first love and not Mi-na? Hanju Fashion arson case appears to be the base point that would convene the opposing characters in this series. It seems that Yeon-ju’s father also holds a crucial detail that would help Seung-wook in his plan to retrieve what is originally his.
Moving at a quick pace, it’s only a matter of time before Yeon-ju’s secret will be exposed. So, the faster she realizes her real identity, the more fun it could get since she could even spearhead the evil dealings’ probe on Han family.
If only Yeon-ju knew that the summon she’s avoiding would let her meet Yu-jun who could definitely identify her, it would save her time. By the looks of it, Sung-hye is brewing an evil plan. Since she’s no easy opponent, Yeon-ju should be prepared.
With Lee Bong-sik captured by Sung-hye, she would be able to extract information about Mi-na’s whereabouts. What’s interesting is the character of Prosecutor Ryu who is still undecided if he would go all the way bad or if he will play it safe. His connection to Hanju Group runs deep, so he could turn the tides once everything is out in the open.
One The Woman has been raking superb ratings because of its amusing character portrayals and well-limned narrative. It smartly throws plot twists at the right moment while unveiling pertinent details of its overall picture.
