Ghost Doctor Episode 12 Key Moments
“When you’re loved ones pass away all of a sudden without goodbye, the people left behind end up in tremendous pain.”
After informing Se Jin of Young Min’s presence, Seung Tak speaks with an infuriated Young Min, urging him to tell Se Jin all he intended to say due to the uncertainty of his survival.
He subsequently believes that those left behind when loved ones die unexpectedly without saying goodbye are left in excruciating pain.
However, Young Min thinks that he should refrain from informing Se Jin of his presence, as there is a potential that he would awaken. Also, given that ghosts cannot recall their prior lives, it would be difficult on Se Jin’s part if Young Min couldn’t remember anything at all.
Young Min was ready to leave when Dr. Jang approached Seung Tak to inquire about what he had previously said to her in Cha Young Min’s room.
Telling her that he can’t remember what he told her, Se Jin threatens Seung Tak not to go near Young Min and assures him that regardless of whether she loses her license, she would ensure that Seung Tak is thrown into a pit of fire.
“Professor Cha never hated you for a single day. He says he thinks only of the good times every day. So he can’t hate you.”
Returning to his room, Young Min finds Se Jin lying on the floor. He immediately inhabits Seung Tak’s body to move Se Jin to the ER.
Waking up in the ER where the last time he stayed is in the on-call room, Seung Tak gains his awareness with Su Jeong explaining to him that Professor Cha brought Se Jin in the ER.
Afterwards, Young makes a final request to Seung Tak. It is to ask the nurse to make Se Jin stay for a while in Young Min’s apartment.
Young Min then watches over the sleeping Se Jin and he also prepares her meals so that she can eat on time.
When Se Jin was about to go back to the hospital, Young Min asks her to use the remainder of the day for Professor Cha just like she did at Jessica’s concert.
Consequently, Young Min went to the clothing store with Se Jin the one they went to buy his clothes before. And, he confesses to Se Jin that he never hated her and only think about good times so that he could not hate her. Later on, both of them drive up to the lakes to get some fresh air.
“Didn’t I tell you my hands are even more unstable? What if my hands shake during surgery?
Receiving a call that a patient is in critical condition, Seung Tak, with the guidance of Young Min, advises the nurse that they quickly book the OR. However, none of the professors are available, and Seung Tak indicates to Young Min that they should save the patient rather than wait for a doctor to arrive.
While having a private conversation with Seung Tak, Young Min refuses to operate due to his unstable hands while inside Seung Tak’s body. He would rather risk his own life than that of the patient they were operating on.
Still insisting that a patient shouldn’t wait for a doctor, Seung Tak successfully persuaded Young Min to do the surgery.
In the operating room, the predicted event occurred, and Tes arrived too late to assist both doctors, as the patient whom Seung Tak and Young Min operated on died on the operating table.
Ghost Doctor Episode 12 Musings
Ghost Doctor episode 12 features both a joyous and distressing narrative flow. We are enthralled by Seung Tak’s discovery of what was preventing Young Min from awakening.
He recognizes it when his mother discovers an issue with their home’s water pipe since the water flow had been inconsistent for several days. That is when Seung Tak uncovers the barrier, preventing Young Min from regaining consciousness.
However, this episode is also frustrating due to Young Min and Seung Tak’s unsteady coordination and the fact that Young Min conveys to Seung Tak precisely that they cannot jeopardize the patient’s life.
And, of course, all poor choices have consequences, which is how Seung Tak ends up losing the patient on whom he insisted on operating. Additionally, we saw in this episode that Seung Tak attempted but was unsuccessful in possessing Young Min.
What was more disheartening and agonizing for Seung Tak was witnessing the man’s soul slowly go away.
This appears to be another impediment to Seung Tak’s learning how to be a doctor and surgeon. We hope that both doctors will understand in the upcoming episodes that they cannot continue to gamble with the lives of the patients on whom they operate.
Above all, we desire for Seung Tak to overcome the worries that are currently preventing him from becoming a doctor.
