“You live in a mansion. Why would you hang out here all day?”

Learning about the in-house doctor being chased CEO Moon, Tae-in marches to where the meeting is. He declares not wanting to be treated by Yun-ju. Taking advantage of Tae-in’s objection, Yun-ju steps out of the room right away.

Asserting his position, CEO Moon runs down the aggravating aftermath of his problem and pleads his artist to relent just once. Meanwhile, Yun-ju learns her sister has already gone back to the United States.

Slurping his jajangmyeon inside a bookstore, Woo-yeon chats with the owner who subtly chides on his bum-like state. The idol argues that he’s technically a freelancer who does not have work so he can idle around. He also shares that his place is his safe haven, with a smell that reminds him of his father, thus he feels protected.

Worried about her situation, Yun-ju shields herself from the rain and enters the same bookstore where Woo-yeon is reading. When he heard her remark of how she felt her father’s presence at the store, Woo-yeon empathized with what she feels being surrounded by books.

Fascinated with the woman, he got sidetracked by an emergency text to go back to the dorm and finds Yun-ju left the store already. Back at the mansion, LUNA members voted against having a resident doctor for Tae-in.

“I’ll make her work hard by doing all that I want.”

It turns out CEO Moon has quite a foresight and the members, one by one, get the taste of the weirdness of Tae-in’s sleepwalking condition. With the members and their manager all suffering from insomnia, they change their vote to get the in-house doctor.

Meanwhile, Yun-ju was threatened by the thugs who lent money to her conman boss. Ordering to pay within three months, she takes a long shot of contacting LUNA’s team to claim CEO Moon’s offer, by pretending to be Kang Sun-ju.

Meeting the group members for the first time, CEO Moon makes an excuse on why Tae-in is not present. Back in his room, he’s already brewing his evil intentions to make the new doctor’s life in the dorm a living hell.

When they finally engage in a conversation, Tae-in has only cold words for her. That is to not mind his business. Debating on whether to quit or not, her pressing problems win and she finds herself setting up a tent in front of Tae-in’s room.

“Are you still children or what? Even kids behave when they eat. Don’t you know that?!”

Sleepless Yun-ju meets the four members for breakfast. While she struggles to have her brain function, Ga-on, the maknae, earned a streak of complaints from his hyungs, for not getting correctly their food preferences.

What happens next is a food fight that shocked Yun-ju. A flying piece of fried chicken hits her tipping point and made her verbally straighten out the childish young men in front of her.

Asserting her treatment plan, she made them understand to follow her orders. After dismissing them, she goes back to her worrying predicament. Later, Yun-ju meets a psychiatrist and pretends to suffer from the sleepwalking disorder to aid her pretense. She learns how trauma can induce the disorder and records the session.

On her way back to the house, Yun-ju sees Tae-in drive somewhere and follows him right away. Seeing him standing on a rooftop, she rushes to where he is thinking he would do something dangerous.

Furious at her for overstepping the boundary he already set, Yun-ju bravely tells him that sleepwalking is not really his problem, but his stuck-up attitude. Still, she decides to endure for her goal to survive. While studying Tae-in’s chart in the wee hours of night, Yun-ju sees the sleepwalking Tae-in. Blocking his path, she managed to divert his direction, but she lost footing, falls on the floor.

Then, Tae-in also falls right to where she is and lands his lips on hers.

Let Me Be Your Knight Episode 2 Musings

Amusingly providing us a peek at idols’ lives, Let Me Be Your Knight layered its second episode with fun and additional details about LUNA members. From their hobbies and personalities, the band members are surely easy to like and dote on.

Set for a dozen episodes, the series also notched a nice pace on the projected romance. We can safely conclude that Yun-ju’s decision to pretend as her sister will be an eventual problem, once it is revealed. Hopefully, before it gets out in the open, her connection with LUNA has been cemented in a way that sorry-here’s-my-sob-story reason.

A breezy watch, this rom-com is interestingly delightful without over-achieving its already laid story. It knows where to focus its strength through the lead pair while providing a fair exposure to the supporting leads.

Where does Shin go whenever he sneaks out of the house? Will Woo-yeon, Tae-in and Yun-ju be in a love triangle eventually?
