Summer Strike Episode 11 Highlights

Before leaving for Seoul, Yeo Reum visits Geun Ho at the prison. Fuming with anger, she asks Geun Ho why he did that but he starts hurting himself and blurts out words like “Grandma is hurt,” “Run away,” and “You’re in danger.”

“This must have been hard on you.”

Running and gasping for air, Dae Bum carefully set foot in the billiard hall ever since his sister’s death. Before coming inside, he was suddenly reminded of the time he found his mother died when he was young. Once again, he still doesn’t dare to enter the traumatic place.

He leaves the hall and spots Yeo Reum. They see each other and he runs toward her. She greets him with a smile and a sigh of relief.

Before speaking a word, Dae Bum gestures an embrace and warmly hugs Yeo Reum.

Spending the night at Dae Bum’s house, she cannot stop thinking about what Geun Ho said at the station. She gets up and finds Dae Bum awake outside.

“I think someone is copying Geun Ho.”

Despite his fears, Dae Bum wanted to accompany Yeo Reum in the billiard hall. Entering the place, he once again remembers the image of her sister lying on the floor with a pool of blood surrounding her and the lifeless body of her mother on the sofa. Seeing him struggle, Yeo Reum holds his hands and urges him to go outside but he insists to stay.

They try to figure out whether someone is making it look like Geun Ho did the crime. Assuming that there is more than one culprit, Yeo Reum considers the number of people who need to subdue him.

Suddenly, the real estate agent enters the building and asks Yeo Reum to vacate the establishment since he already purchased it.

Summer Strike Episode 11

“Geun Ho, you didn’t hurt Ms. Jung, right?”

Delving into the case of Geun Ho, Yeo Reum and Dae Bum visit the parents’ home to investigate their son. They access his bedroom and find unusual scribbles on the walls that according to his parents, he has been writing since he was young. Yeo Reum takes a picture to ask Geun Ho himself.

But when she presents the picture to him, he tries to cover his mouth preventing himself from speaking.

Later on, the hall has been vandalized again with cryptic words. They try checking the CCTV but since the shot is a bit far, they cannot see the face of the culprit.

“I know that you won’t like me back. I know that, but you always brush me aside like this. I can’t put up with it anymore.”

Jae Hoon and Bom are having their date when Ha Neul calls his sister informing that the bullies are ganging up on Dae Ho. She leaves but he begs her to stay. Jae Hoon reveals that he is going back to the U.S. but Bom seems not too concerned as her priority right is Dae Ho.

The scene flashes back to high school when Dae Ho saved Bom from the bullies and the police arrives at the scene. He takes the blame for beating up the students when it was Bom.

For the second time, Dae Ho was apprehended by the police.

“You kill her, didn’t you? My sister.”

Devising a plan to catch the real culprit, Yeo Reum and Dae Bum disguise themselves as black-hooded people to see who’s interested in Geun Ho’s case. It turns out, they are Kwak Moo Chul, the police officer, and Kwak Doo Hee, the real estate agent. They lead them in different directions and confront them about the case.

Summer Strike Episode 11 Musings

Centered on the revelation of the real culprit, a surprising discovery signals the highly-awaited culmination of the Summer Strike.

The way Yeo Reum and Dae Bum devised their plan to catch the criminals for Grandma Young Sook’s death is ingenious.

While the identities of the people responsible are questionable, there is a reason why both of them ended up facing Yeo Reum and Dae Bum head-on.

Unexpectedly, as what the episode suggested, there is more to Sun Ah’s death. It implied that the murders years ago are connected to the current incident.

While the motivations behind the two murders are still unknown and how they transpired, I am anticipating seeing how it unfolds.

Will Yeo Reum and Dae Bum finally heal from the things that have been hurting them from then until now?
